Akeneo Trigger
Use the Akeneo trigger to start workflows in real time when events occur in your PIM. Boltic subscribes to the Akeneo Event Platform and automatically registers (and removes) the webhook subscription for you.
Prerequisites
To use the Akeneo trigger, you need:
- An Akeneo PIM instance connected to Boltic (see the Authentication documentation).
- An Akeneo Connection whose settings have the Event subscription permission enabled, so Boltic can create subscriptions on the Event Platform.
For more details, visit the official Akeneo Event Platform Documentation.
Supported Authentication Methods
- OAuth 2.0 (password grant) using your Akeneo Connection credentials. The same access token is used to authenticate against the Event Platform management API.
How It Works
When you activate the trigger, Boltic:
- Creates a subscriber on the Akeneo Event Platform (
POST /api/v1/subscribers). - Creates an HTTPS subscription for the selected event, pointing to a Boltic-generated URL (
POST /api/v1/subscribers/{id}/subscriptions).
Incoming events are delivered in CloudEvents format and verified using the X-AKENEO-SIGNATURE-PRIMARY HMAC-SHA256 signature. When the trigger is removed, Boltic deletes the subscription.
