Monitor

The Monitor Trigger allows you to initiate workflows by sending synthetic monitoring events. You can select specific monitors and choose which events you want to track and respond to in real time.

Supported Events

You can configure workflows to be triggered by the following events:

  1. Monitor Updated – Trigger a workflow when a monitor is modified.
  2. Monitor Deleted – Trigger a workflow when a monitor is removed.
  3. Monitor Run Failed – Trigger a workflow if a monitor execution fails.
  4. Monitor Notification Failed – Trigger a workflow if sending a notification from a monitor fails.

How It Works

The Monitor Trigger listens for updates and changes to your synthetic monitors. When the selected event occurs, it activates the associated workflow, enabling automated actions such as:

  • Alerting teams when a monitor fails or changes.
  • Logging failures for audit or analysis.
  • Automatically restarting monitors or related services.

This trigger is ideal for integrating monitoring results directly into operational workflows and ensuring quick responses to issues.

Notes

  • You can attach multiple Monitor Triggers in a workflow to respond to different monitor events.
  • Each trigger can be configured for a specific monitor and event combination.
  • The trigger helps streamline monitoring and improve response times for critical failures.
